If you recently received an email from us, the letter below is the one I was speaking about. It talks about our need to raise temporary support for six months but one-time gifts of any amount are welcome too, especially after having our car break down this past weekend and the next day having to take Mary Ann to the emergency room. Thanks for clicking here. I’ll soon have a new website called the “Zach’s House 25 Club” which will detail the various things we’ll give away to our financial partners just for giving.

Dear Friends, Mary Ann and I would like to ask for your help. You may have received some requests from us before regarding financially partnering with our mission work in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. God has given us some small victories over the past couple years of our work. The most recent is our friend Pete, a man convicted of murder, who became part of our work. He recently began praying in our small Bible study groups and will host a group next month at his new home. Recently we met Vivian and Becky at a dentist office. Vivian wants to have Mary Ann study with her and a friend. Becky is looking for a church home and I gave her a couple suggestions in the HEB area. The number of answered prayers on behalf of those we minister to and with has been amazing and at times miraculous. We have many more individuals and families who have not joined us as members yet but could, if only we would spend more time with them. Some of these people have young children. A new Bible study group could be started at each home and eventually, these precious people in God’s eyes could join together and form a new church or join an established church I already have ties with. Personal evangelism is necessary in a country where 83% of people do not attend church. Please help us continue our mission work in an area where some people think mission work is not necessary. There are over 150,000 unchurched people within 7 miles of our house. Even our churches are losing people, not to other churches, but to a life without Christ. I’m sure all of us have seen people visit our congregations, get baptized, attend a while and leave, never to return. We are here to gather together groups of unchurched people, but also to help close the back door for local churches whose members sometimes leave. We need $25 a month for six months from fifty (50) people (NOW ONLY 44, PRAISE GOD!) beginning September 15th. We also need $100 a month for six months from ten (10) people beginning September 15th. If you are able to help, please let us know. If you know someone else who could help, please let them know about us. You can call Mary Ann or me anytime to learn more about our work. Thank you very much for your time, |
2009 was a very tough year, for you and for us. Due to losing some temporary funding that ended as 2009 ended, we now have to appeal for help through the internet, basically we’re doing this via this website, Twitter and Facebook.
We have created a few new alternative income trickles and have faith those will become income streams by January or February 2011. Because of this we are now only asking for God to provide through you, temporary funding for six months. This is what we need:
Fifty (50) individuals or churches to become $25.00 a month partners for six months.
Ten (10) individuals or churches to become $100.00 a month partners for six months.
You can also help by buying anything from Amazon or purchase products through one of these affiliates. Or you can spread the word about my devotional e-book.
Because times are hard, the needs we help people with are growing. Allow me to discuss a little of the good we do in our area and what you can help us continue to do or begin in 2010. The following is in addition to our pizza and prayer night, our Bible studies, and mentoring small group leaders.
*You can help us continue to regularly help feed 200 poor and homeless individuals and families each month in downtown Ft. Worth.
* You can help us continue to help clothe the needy we befriend in the Hurst, Euless, Bedford and Irving areas.
* You can help us continue our regularly weekly, bi-weekly and monthly meetings that help the lonely, the depressed and the dispossessed in our communities. There are too many people who are ignored in this world. In addition to our enriching people’s lives via our providing “community, many of our groups chip in money for good works in our immediate area (the homeless, community picnics, clothing and food drives) and around the world (the Himalayan Cataract Project).
* You can help us begin 20 new groups in 2010. A majority of these new groups will collect funds which will be given to the Himalayan Cataract Project. This charity is highly rated and restores vision to the blind in many parts of the world. We focus our giving towards vision restoration efforts in Bhutan, India and China. You can always help them yourself, or you can help us start 20 more groups, with each giving money to the HCP.
* You can help us continue to collect canned goods which we donate to area food pantries in Irving, Dallas, Hurst, Euless and Bedford.
* You can help us continue our pastry donations to area public service workers such as nursing home care workers, and to the men and women who work in our local police and fire departments. We will soon be donating whole grilled chickens from local grocery stores to those in need of food.
* We have also begun a church at a local assisted living center. The new director says our work has helped enrich the lives of the residents. She wants our work to continue but it cannot if we do not get help. We have people of all faiths or no faith at all, attending our weekly Bible discussion, singing, Lord’s Supper and prayer time. This is a non-denominational weekly meeting.
* We hope to have our 501 (c) 3 application completed and approved by the end of 2010.
